The Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues is recruiting 10-12 Georgetown undergraduates to participate in three ninety-minutes dialogues with Chinese students at leading universities in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong this spring.
The dialogues will be an opportunity for an open exchange about the current crisis in U.S.-China relations and the prospect or improvements in the months and years ahead. Specific topics will include peace and security, business and trade, human rights, and climate change.
The discussions will be student-led and facilitated by Prof. Dennis Wilder, managing director of the Georgetown U.S.-China Initiative, together with colleagues at Beijing University, Fudan University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Georgetown students who participate in at least two of the three sessions and provide a 500-word blog on their experience for the Initiative website will receive a $300.00 honorarium.
Interested students should send a short statement of interest, CV, and unofficial transcript to uschinadialogue@georgetown.edu by midnight on Thursday, March 11. All current Georgetown undergraduates are eligible to apply.
