David Weiss (MSFS‘78) becomes President and CEO of Global Communities, an arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation that seeks to make community-led change to improve the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable people across the globe. Prior to this role, Weiss worked for the federal government for 18 years, as well as in private sector law: he was the economic officer at the US embassy in Haiti; special assistant to the director of the Peace Corps; assistant to Deputy Assistant Secretary of State John Whitehead; he worked at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative on NAFTA-issues; and at DLA Piper law firm on trade matters.
