Darcy Olsen (SFS’93) becomes the CEO of the Goldwater Institute public policy think tank, having formerly worked The Cato Institute as an expert on entitlements and the role of the government in childcare issues. While leading the Goldwater Institute, Olsen advocated strongly for right-to-try laws, which allow terminal patients to access experimental treatments that have not yet been ultimately approved by the Food and Drug Administration. In 2017 Olsen founded Generation Justice, a legal representation and advocacy group that is dedicated to reforming the foster care system and ensuring children receive the full legal protections of the United States Constitution that are provided to adults.
