Zulekha Tasneem

Hailing from Northern Virginia, Zulekha Tasneem is a third-year student in the School of Foreign Service studying Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a concentration in Biotechnology and Global Health and a minor in Economics. At Georgetown, she is the co-captain of the South Asian dance team GU Jawani, an associate board member of the Lecture Fund, and a Residential Assistant for fellow peers. Zulekha’s academic interests include global health policy and the development of resilient health systems to assist vulnerable populations while focusing on social determinants of health. In the future, she hopes to work towards achieving health equity in the form of legal reform and public health policy implementation for underserved communities.
