Youmna is Undergraduate Research Scholar at Georgetown’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, exploring the intersections of migration and conflict. She is a contributing author to Georgetown’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security’s Islam and Negotiation: Action Guide for Women. Youmna is passionate about strategizing and facilitating peace-building processes through conflict mediation and restorative justice initiatives. Following her undergraduate degree, Youmna intends to pursue a law degree, specializing in international human rights law. Outside of academics, she is on the Board of Georgetown’s Arab Society and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
