Nick is a junior from Morristown, NJ, studying International Political Economy. He is interested in the implications of globalization for the political economy of development, and the manifestations and consequences of the backlash to the globalized liberal order as Western-led institutions conceive it. Through coursework, research, and professional opportunities, Nick hopes to understand how development policymakers can best elevate global living standards amid the realities of our interconnected, increasingly multipolar world.
At Georgetown, Nick is a Site Coordinator for DC Reads, a volunteer literacy tutoring program that serves under-resourced elementary school students in Southeast DC. This role motivates his belief in the importance of promoting educational equity through economic and development policy, both globally and across the Anacostia River. He is also a Teaching Assistant for Principles of Microeconomics, and a section editor with the Georgetown Caravel. Nick is humbled by and grateful for his inclusion in this year's cohort of Pelosi Scholars, and looks forward to joining a community of students eager to use this unique opportunity to further the common good.
