Marisa Morrison

Marisa Morrison is a junior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in Culture and Politics. She was born in Tokyo and lived there until the age of fifteen when she moved to the U.S. She is interested in several areas of public service including equitable educational opportunities that aim to uplift young students of color and girls. Her Culture and Politics major explores the intersection of gender and international relations, and she is also interested in economic, political and educational initiatives that empower women globally. Marisa has spent a year and a half working under Professor Anna Sommer, associate director of the Center for Jewish Civilization at Georgetown, researching female survivors’ agency after the Holocaust.
