Lily Erickson is a junior from Indianapolis, Indiana pursuing a major in Regional and Comparative Studies with a concentration on the Middle East and Africa, as well as minors in Arabic and International Development. She is passionate about the importance of cross-cultural understanding and dialogue in solving international issues and seeks to blend her interests in international development, foreign languages and women’s empowerment in a public service career that focuses on cross-cultural engagement. At Georgetown, Lily consults with international nonprofits as a member of Georgetown Global Consulting, conducts research on revolutions in Africa and the Middle East with CCAS Professor Killian Clarke and gives tours to prospective students and families as a Blue & Gray Tour Guide. In her free time, Lily loves to read, cook (at an amateur level) and race her best time on the NYT mini crossword. Lily is thrilled to participate in the Pelosi Scholars Initiative and looks forward to building a stronger understanding of international development to more effectively contribute her skills and passions to public service.
