Laura Rockefeller

Laura Rockefeller is a third year International Politics major in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, concentrating in International Law, Institutions and Ethics. She is also pursuing a Certificate in African Studies. Laura's academic interests include international development and environmental policy and law. She is also passionate about political philosophy and economic justice. As an Undergraduate Research Fellow with the African Studies program, she has enjoyed engaging in highly specialized topics, such as musical rituals in Northwest African cults. Outside of the classroom, Laura is active with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a political advocacy group. She enjoys work and play outdoors, having served on an AmeriCorps trail construction and wildfire mitigation crew in the forests of Arizona and New Mexico.
Next summer, Laura will intern with the Department of State in the Office of Energy Transformation within the Bureau of Energy Resources. Laura intends to pursue a dynamic career in clean energy or environmental law. She enjoys trail running, cooking and timid day-trading.
