Kate Halabi
Class of 2027
Major: International Politics
Hometown: Wichita, KS
Kate is passionate about the role of international law in accountability and transitional justice, specifically in the Middle East. She is a researcher in these areas as an SFS Undergraduate Scholar with both the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Kate also serves on the board of Georgetown Women in International Affairs, as an editorial assistant with the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, and as a TA for Maps of the Modern World for Title I high school students through the National Education Equity Lab.
Looking forward, Kate hopes to work in federal agencies involved in post-conflict reconstruction, and at the intersection of international legal systems and diplomacy. She is excited to join Pelosi Scholars community, and be among other individuals committed to a people-forward vision of public service!
