Joyce Yang

Joyce Yang is a junior at the School of Foreign Service majoring in Science, Technology and International Affairs with a minor in Computer Science. She’s interested in public service as it relates to science and technology policy, with particular focus on issues of surveillance and data ethics. Outside of the classroom, Joyce is a Fritz Fellow at Georgetown’s Initiative on Tech & Society researching the implications of biometric surveillance as well as an MDI Scholar at the Massive Data Institute where she helps track Covid-19 misinformation campaigns. She is interested in interning and working at non-profits that research frameworks for technology and data regulation or in governmental positions that deal with technology policy.
