As a Taiwanese-American, Bennie grew up keenly aware of how geopolitics shapes people's daily lives and presents global challenges. His background and upbringing in the Bay Area fueled his interest in U.S.-China relations, with a focus on trade, technology, and security.
Bennie has interned for Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, analyzed U.S. foreign policy on China with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and researched Chinese agribusiness development with Prof. Kristen Looney. At Georgetown, Bennie is part of Georgetown Stories and serves on the SFS Academic Council. In his free time, Bennie enjoys nature photography and critiquing architecture.
