Atharv Gupta

Atharv Gupta is a current sophomore in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, pursuing a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a concentration in Business, Growth, and Development, as well as a minor in Mandarin Chinese. His academic interests include international development, innovation ecosystems, and digital technology policy. He hopes to pursue a public service career at the nexus between technology and international development. He has previously worked with the World Bank and a Beijing-based development consultancy. Outside the classroom, Atharv plays lead trumpet for the Georgetown Jazz Ensemble, consults with internationally-based nonprofits with Georgetown Global Consulting, and enjoys reading and writing science fiction. Originally from Annandale, Virginia, Atharv is ecstatic to be part of the Pelosi Scholars Initiative this year.
