Lily Erickson (SFS’23) is studying regional and comparative studies with a focus on the Middle East and Africa and is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. She is deeply involved with her community here at Georgetown, and has broadened her connections across DC as well as around the globe.
Erickson is president of the Blue & Grey Tour Guide Society, a member of Georgetown Global Consulting, the eating society, a Pelosi Scholar and much more. While on the Hilltop, Erickson was a member of Georgetown’s Arabic debate team. After winning a competition at the University of Chicago, she and her team traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, to compete against 90 international teams.
Over her four years at Georgetown, Erickson is most grateful for the community that she found which persisted despite the time away from campus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. “The people were really so essential to what made Georgetown to me, even when Georgetown was just an idea in my head and not something I was physically experiencing every day.”
