After working as a cyber security analyst, Ido Wulkan (SSP’21) came to SFS to enhance his understanding of the intersection between cybersecurity and policy in order to kickstart his career in the field. In the Security Studies Program, Wulkan spent two years developing practical skills and engaging with leading experts, including during his time as a research assistant at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET). At CSET, he refined his research skills and focused on cyber issues and artificial intelligence, expertise he believes will help to advance his burgeoning career in the cybersecurity sector after graduating.

Though Wulkan came to Georgetown to level up his technical skills and experience, he also found a close-knit community of friends and peers who — alongside his ever-supportive husband — helped him to make the most of his time on the Hilltop.
