Michael Karam (SFS’72, L’76) found a home in Washington, D.C. and at Georgetown. “I came to Washington to come to Georgetown and, as happens with many, I never left,” the retired federal tax prosecutor says.
One of the highlights of his SFS education, Karam remembers, was the class he took with human rights icon and SFS Professor Jan Karski. Karam met his wife at Georgetown Law and, since retiring, he jokes that he has become “a professional alumnus.” Karam says, “I love the place! I take any excuse I can to drive down Massachusetts Avenue to campus to go to an event or network with students. It’s an extraordinary place.”
