Lucie Zacharova
Lucie (Global Experience Director) obtained her MBA in Worldwide Executive EMBA Program (Prague-Sao Paulo-Pittsburgh) from Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Her expertise is in academic program operations and development, leadership, project management, business partnerships, and international academic relations. She is a Czech native and European at heart who experienced regime change and belongs to the first generation that traveled and studied abroad after the Czech Velvet Revolution of 1989. Lucie taught Czech and English languages and literatures and developed and managed international programs as Director of CIEE Study Center Prague or Assistant Director of Education Abroad at the University of Texas in Austin. She loves to discuss travel, Prague, language learning ambitions or experiences in cultural perspective switching, and can share about life in Czech expat communities of Texas, Hawaii, DMV, or Chicago.

Chirin (Advising Dean and Associate Director for Global Experience) has over 15 years of professional experience across the private, humanitarian, and higher education sectors on both national and international fronts. Chirin brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She holds two master’s degrees from Georgetown University, which bolster her academic leadership. Chirin is committed to fostering positive change by supporting international students in overcoming cultural and academic challenges, guiding them in realizing their potential, and optimizing their global exchange experiences. Her dedication to student success is fundamental to her work, ensuring that students receive the needed guidance and support to excel in their global academic journey and emerge as agents of positive change within their communities.

Ajay (Global Experience Program Assistant) is a second-year MSFS student, with a Science, Technology, and International Affairs concentration. He was born in Pollachi, a small town in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He spent the first decade in Qatar and the second across India. He completed his undergraduate studies in Delhi as the valedictorian of the class of 2022, earning a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, along with a minor in International Relations. Ajay’s professional experience includes a stint assisting a member of parliament and working in the social impact space to advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. He is also the founder of “Global Madras,” India’s first student-led think tank that analyzes international relations from a subnational perspective. By “decentralizing” the field, Ajay aims to leverage technology to tackle international challenges, bridge the global-local divide, and ensure tech-driven transformation is equitable for everyone around the world.

Logan (Global Experience Student Ambassador) is a fourth-year SFS student from New Jersey, majoring in International Politics with focuses on governance, peacebuilding, and diplomatic studies. At Georgetown, he has worked as an assistant with the Conflict Transformation Lab, helped manage the Free Speech Project, and collaborated with humanitarian NGOs through Georgetown Global Consulting. Logan also plays lead trombone in the Georgetown Jazz Ensemble. Off campus, he has interned at the U.S. Department of State and the National Endowment for Democracy. In 2023, Logan studied at the University of Bologna in Italy while interning at the Agency for Peacebuilding, an Italian civil society organization.
