Esha Sharma (SFS’25) reflects on her time in the School of Foreign Service, from interning at the White House and USAID’s Office of Digital Technology to engaging deeply with water policy through courses like Water, Science and Society. Her transformative experiences—attending a national security conference at West Point and working in the intelligence community—have broadened her global perspective and shaped her passion for international politics and economics.
“Coming into Georgetown, I had no experience with politics, with government or anything like this, and I didn’t really have a lot of confidence in my own skills and abilities to take advantage of these opportunities,” she says. “But one thing that I’ve learned in the past four years at Georgetown is that I do have the ability and the skills to become successful in whatever field I choose.”
