Ava’s interest in international education and public diplomacy first began through her experiences abroad as both a NSLI-Y and CLS scholar (learning Arabic), and she hopes to one day help write government policy that enables all students to have equal access to education and cultural outreach programs, as well as study abroad experiences, so that the next generation might develop a deep interest in global issues.  Ava hopes to intern in this area as a Pelosi Scholar, and is eager to learn from other Pelosi Scholars’ varied areas of public service interested, and see how their fields might work together to create change!
