Natalie was born in Mexico City and moved to San Diego when she was eight. She is studying international politics with a concentration in security, Arabic, and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies. Her passion for international politics stems from her family fleeing Eastern Europe to escape persecution against Jews and her immigration experience. She is interested in studying counter-terrorism, mass atrocities, and genocide prevention. She is passionate about looking at how gender dynamics intersect with security issues. Outside the classroom, Natalie is the Director of Business and Advancement for NAIMUN LXI, the SST Lead for GU Politics Fellow Cristóbal Alex, an intern for Jewish Life, a Community Service Officer for the Gender Violence Alliance, and a tour guide in Blue and Gray. She is very excited to participate in this year’s Pelosi cohort!
