Divjot Singh Bawa

Divjot Singh Bawa is a sophomore in the School of Foreign Service, studying Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a minor in Computer Science. Based out of northern Virginia, he is passionate about emerging technology, science and technology policy, and public interest technology. Outside of the classroom, Divjot pursues his passion by advising socially-minded tech-facing startups through Innovo Consulting, spearheading technical development projects using digital mapping and machine learning through Georgetown Disruptive Technology, as well as investigating the politics of data/technology working as a research assistant. At the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation, he also recently helped publish a playbook resource that will aid State Chief Data Officers in better forming and sustaining data-sharing collectives. As a driven and service-oriented individual, Divjot aspires to have a career as a public servant, leveraging technical tools and frameworks to assist policymakers in crafting and implementing robust policy.
