Anthony Kenkel (SFS’23) negotiates the first reciprocal trade agreement between Cuba and the United States, which dropped sugar tariffs from $2/lb to less than 1 cent/lb. Following World War II, Kenkel served on the U.S. delegation for the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, which laid the foundation for the World Trade Organization.
