The first graduates included numerous veterans of World War One and other older students, who would go out into the world and advance the School’s legacy of a century of service. Willard Beaulac (SFS’21), the SFS’s “first graduate” alphabetically, is pictured on the timeline (on the left reading from a paper) receiving his credentials in Havana Cuba. He pursued a successful career in the United States Foreign Service, acting in the role of Ambassador to the countries of Paraguay, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, and Argentina.
