Presentation and discussion guidelines

The conference encourages you to engage in informed and productive dialogue about global economic issues by bringing together participants and prominent members of the academic and policy-making communities through presentations, discussions, and lectures.

As you participate in the Carroll Round, you will have the opportunity to present and discuss your original research alongside other undergraduates. You can share your findings in journal-length articles and summarize your project in discussion panels moderated by economics professors and practitioners. Your papers can focus on a wide variety of the latest topics within economics, with an emphasis on international economics.

Keynote speakers

The Carroll Round offers you the opportunity to attend keynote lectures and engage directly with the DC policymaking community. In previous years, participants like you have visited the Federal Reserve and had discussions with Federal officials like Ben Bernanke, Roger Ferguson and Donald Kohn. During the conference, you can look forward to two keynote lectures featuring prominent scholars and practitioners in the field of economics. You’ll hear from keynote speakers such as Nobel Laureates and members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, providing you with invaluable insights into the world of economics.
