How to Apply

To be eligible for the accelerated program, you must apply for admission to the program in the third year of your undergraduate program.

Step 1: Confirm your eligibility

To be eligible for the accelerated master’s program, you must:

  • Be enrolled at one of our three partner universities: Universitas Indonesia, Bina Nusantara University, or President University
  • Have completed at least 120 SKS by the end of your third year
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 at the time of application
  • Demonstrate leadership and academic excellence

Step 2: Submit your application

Apply through Georgetown’s graduate application portal and select the accelerated track for your chosen program:

  • MSFS – Accelerated
  • MASIA – Accelerated
  • SSP – Accelerated

Application materials

Your application must include:

  • Academic transcript
  • Statement of purpose
  • CV
  • Two references (academic or professional)
  • English proficiency score that meets the requirements for your chosen program:

Step 3: Complete the admissions review and interview

Shortlisted candidates will go through a two-part review process: a document screening followed by an interview with the GSAP Program Director and Georgetown faculty. If successful, you’ll receive conditional admission to your selected master’s program.

Step 4: Complete your pathway year at GSAP

During your fourth year at GSAP in Jakarta, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3, fulfill your remaining undergraduate degree requirements and receive a faculty recommendation from GSAP to advance to Washington, DC.

Step 5: Advance to Georgetown in Washington, DC

Once you’ve met all academic and administrative requirements, you’ll matriculate as a full graduate student in your selected master’s program and complete your degree on Georgetown’s Washington, DC, campus.
