International Political Economy

The international political economy major at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS) provides an in-depth understanding of the complex relationships between political and economic forces at local, national and international levels. Our interdisciplinary program allows you to explore how these interactions shape policies, trade, finance, development and more.
IPEC prepares you to critically assess political and economic theories, equipping you with quantitative, qualitative and methodological skills.
