The BMW Center for German and European Studies

The BMW Center for German and European Studies is a hub for interdisciplinary research and teaching on modern Europe, emphasizing cultural studies, economics, history and political science. Founded after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Center supports and deepens the transatlantic relationship.

We are proud to carry out our central mission of conducting path-breaking research on Europe and training the next generation of transatlantic leaders. The Center maintains close and ongoing partnerships with the German government, the DAAD German Academic Exchange and BMW. We’ve also developed new partnerships with the French Embassy Network of Centers of Excellence and the official representatives of the European Commission and European Parliament in Washington, DC.
