This summer, the inaugural cohort of the Master of Arts in International Migration and Refugees program completed their summer practicum, a required 8 to 10-week internship with a refugee or migration-related organization. Students have the chance to bring their classroom knowledge to the field by getting hands-on experience at migrant shelters, assisting with day-to-day operations, and contributing to projects in data analytics, program development and fundraising.
From Mozambique to Mexico City, students have spent their summer around the world, contributing meaningfully to organizations serving refugees and migrants and gaining real-world exposure in the industry before they graduate. Watch the video to get a glimpse into where students have been and how they spent their summer!
