In the Security Studies Program, Eyerusalem Cheney (SSP’26) found a place to broaden her outlook on global security and explore new paths. During her time on the Hilltop, she expanded her interests into cyber threat intelligence with the support of professors, opening doors to new skills and career possibilities. As she prepares to graduate, Cheney reflects on her opportunities to learn from diverse perspectives through classes, on-campus activities and events that prepare her for a future in the U.S. Foreign Service.
“Something I try to live by is prioritizing people over things and achievements, whether that is in how I interact with my neighbors, my friends, or a random stranger that I meet, but also hoping that the work that I do reflects that.”
