Asian Studies Program
The Asian Studies Program was established to meet the demands for rigorous academic study of Asia, recognizing the region’s critical importance in global affairs.
We provide students with the necessary skills to meet the demands of policy, business and scholarship in a globalizing world. Over 50 years, the Asian Studies Program has grown in size and scope, now serving both graduate and undergraduate students while advancing an international profile and presence. We also produce an annual peer-reviewed journal, the Georgetown Journal of Asian Affairs, to share the ideas and research covering topics related to Central, Northeast, Southeast and South Asia conducted by scholars and practitioners in the field.
