Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS) extends its tradition of excellence in international affairs education to Jakarta, Indonesia, at Georgetown SFS Asia Pacific (GSAP). As the first U.S. university to establish a branch location in Indonesia, GSAP is committed to addressing the pressing challenges of the Global South and the Asia Pacific. Jakarta serves as a center of innovation and dialogue for the Asia Pacific, positioning you at the heart of critical regional issues, including environmental sustainability, economic development, and diplomacy. Master in Diplomacy and International Affairs (Asia Pacific)
Our one-year master’s program, designed for mid-career professionals, equips you with the expertise necessary to navigate the complexities of economic diplomacy, international affairs, energy and environmental issues, and essential leadership and negotiation skills. By blending rigorous academics with practical training, our master’s degree prepares you to take on leadership roles that address global challenges in the Asia-Pacific region.

The semester in Jakarta is centered on immersive policy courses, offering you the chance to develop actionable solutions for the Global South’s most critical issues. This unique opportunity is tailored for students enrolled in two-year master’s programs at the School of Foreign Service.
Georgetown Asia Pacific Peace Academy
The Georgetown Asia Pacific Peace Academy (GAPPA) is an intensive training program for professionals working in conflict resolution, governance, diplomacy, development and peacebuilding in Asia. The program equips you with the analytical tools, policy knowledge and practical skills needed to resolve conflicts and build sustainable peace through two intensive 3-week certificate programs.
