Zeinah Abdelsalam. Zeinah Abdelsalam is pursuing an M.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, concentrating in the STEM-designated Science and Technology in International Affairs track. Her academic and professional interests focus on how governance systems adapt to technological and environmental transformation, with an emphasis on the global political economy of emerging technologies. Zeinah’s work examines how innovations in energy, mining, and digital infrastructure are reshaping supply chains, altering power dynamics, and redefining the tools of diplomacy in the twenty-first century.
Originally from Egypt and raised in Dubai, she moved to the United States at sixteen to pursue a B.S. in Economics and Political Science while competing as a collegiate swimmer at West Virginia Wesleyan College, graduating with distinction. Her experiences navigating diverse political, cultural, and economic systems continue to shape her commitment to bridging global governance with on-the-ground realities.
Zeinah’s professional experience spans research, policy analysis, and strategic communication across the energy, technology, and international economic policy sectors. She has worked on synthesizing complex developments in energy systems, climate policy, and emerging technologies - translating technical, regulatory, and geopolitical information into actionable insights for decision-makers. Her work includes analyzing policy and trade dynamics across major global markets, supporting cross-border energy and technology initiatives, and contributing to coalition-building efforts among public- and private-sector stakeholders. She has also engaged directly in congressional outreach and high-level policy discussions, strengthening her understanding of how political, technological, and economic forces shape governance - expertise she aims to apply toward advancing resilient, equitable, and future-oriented policymaking.
