Yo Konno

Yo runs an international educational and exchange program at IEC, as sponsor of the Japan-America Student Conference (JASC) that originally began in 1934. He has 30 years of experience working for American and European global banks as a senior coverage officer, assisting major Japanese corporations in their cross-border transactions. As an ex-banker, he took on challenges facing bilateral relations between Japan and the United States, transcending geographical and cultural differences between the two allied nations to expand their impact on the global scene, through grass-roots level exchange between next generation of leaders from both Japan and the United States. He also serves as a council member of the America-Japan Society in Japan.
