Theodore Bogaty
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Theodore Bogaty is a first-year MSFS student from France with a dual academic background in Applied Economics and Philosophy. Before joining the program, he studied primarily at Université PSL, France’s top-ranked university, where he graduated with Highest Honors. At MSFS, he specializes in Global Politics and Security, focusing on foreign affairs, geoeconomics, international security, and the sociopolitical dynamics that shape conflict, political change, and international relations.
He has previously worked on policymaking and international cooperation within the French public administration, conducted research in economic policy, and contributed to humanitarian and political analysis in an INGO. These experiences strengthened his interest in diplomacy and global security, giving him an interdisciplinary perspective on how economic, political, and humanitarian factors interact in international affairs.
Driven by a strong interest in foreign cultures—fueled by a long-standing passion for literature, history, and political thought—Theodore has explored many parts of the world and has notably lived in Australia before joining the United States. He speaks French, English, German, and Italian, and is currently learning Arabic. His regional focus spans the Middle East and the Sahel, as well as Russia and Eastern Europe, areas whose political developments and intellectual traditions he has studied in depth.
