Sarah Harting is a senior international and defense researcher at RAND and directs RAND's Stanton nuclear security fellowship program. She is also a professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on U.S. defense strategy and doctrine, and defense technology competition and policy issues. She leads multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, technologists, operations researchers, and policy analysts to address complex challenges for the U.S. Department of War (DoW). She is also involved in scenario development and analytic gaming efforts across RAND. She has co-authored several RAND publications and op-eds published by the New York Times and U.S. News & World Report.
