Sarah Aaron recently completed a Joint Honours Degree in Political Science and History from McGill University. She has gained extensive experience working at various levels of government, having been employed as a Member’s Assistant for a representative of Ontario’s provincial government and later as an intern in the Parliament of Canada. She was engaged in the Political and Economic Section of the U.S. Consulate in Montreal, where she concentrated on intelligence cooperation, the end-use monitoring of military and defence items, and supply chain securitization. Her most recent position was at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s Terrorism Prevention Branch in Vienna, Austria, where she focused on preventing violent extremism (PVE) and engaging with local stakeholders in the Sahel and Southeast Asia. Sarah is particularly interested in security and intelligence issues as they relate to international security, as well as the Indo-Pacific region. She is fluent in English and French and speaks intermediate-level Spanish.
