Sandy Taylor

Global Human Development Student

Sandy Taylor is a master’s candidate in Global Human Development at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she focuses on the intersection of the energy transition, climate adaptation, and inclusive investment. Her academic and professional work centers on how clean energy systems and sustainable infrastructure can expand economic opportunity and strengthen resilience in emerging markets. Alongside her studies, she works as an Energy Analyst with AMALA Clean Energy Advisors, supporting research and analysis to advance renewable energy investments and inform policy across global markets.

Prior to graduate school, Sandy served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in southern Ecuador, where she designed and implemented community development programming. This work built on her earlier experience as a Program Director with Manna Project International in Ecuador, where she partnered with local stakeholders to design and scale initiatives in environmental sustainability, education, and economic livelihoods. Together, these roles grounded her in grassroots development and deepened her understanding of the structural drivers of inequality.

Originally from California, Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. Her early work in research has informed her interdisciplinary approach to development and continues to shape her interest in systems-level solutions to global challenges.
