Sandy Robson

M.S. in Foreign Service Student

Born and raised in London, UK, Sandy Robson is a British graduate student whose focus revolves around the intersection between global finance, energy systems, and strategic resources. His interests lie in the economic and security dimensions of energy and the energy transition, in addition to the geopolitics and -economics of the North Atlantic and Eurasia. He speaks Russian and conversational French.

Sandy holds a First-Class degree in Classics from the University of Oxford, where he developed an interest in the interactions between institutions and individuals, having specialized in Roman history. Study of the intertwining of Roman finance and governance led to the pursuit of economics courses at LSE last summer. Sandy’s other experiences range from archaeological fieldwork to international undergraduate programme coordination and ambassadorship.

At Georgetown, Sandy intends to combine the Geoeconomics, Business and Finance (GBF) concentration with the Graduate Certificate in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies. He is exploring private sector solutions to questions including the energy transition and North Atlantic security.
