Samantha Kelley
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Samantha Kelley is a first year MSFS student with a concentration in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. From doing a research internship on minority rights in the European Union while on study abroad in Brussels, Belgium, Samantha developed a curiosity and passion for international affairs and human rights. After Brussels, Samantha interned for the U.S. Department of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, where she gained first hand policy experience and affirmed her goal of being a Foreign Service Officer. She also has used her passion for human rights to help people in their legal cases during her time working for a Public Defender’s Office. At Georgetown, Samantha is committed to learning about the intersection between technology and human rights, specifically women’s and disability rights. She plans to use this in her career as a Foreign Service Officer. In her free time, Samantha enjoys swimming, reading, and traveling.
