Ryan Weierman

2026 Pelosi Scholar

Class of 2028

Major: International Politics

Hometown: Natick, MA

Ryan is passionate about the intersection between Francophone Studies and African Studies, specifically Franco-African relations and migration flows. She hopes to pursue a public service internship that will prepare her for a career in the Foreign Service or foreign policy development. After interning for State Representative David Linsky at the Massachusetts State House, Ryan hopes to extend her public service experience to the federal level.

In spring 2026, Ryan will be traveling with the African Studies Program to Accra as a member of an SFS Centennial Lab to study the sociocultural and political-economic environments of postcolonial Ghana. At Georgetown, she enjoys staffing the North American Invitational Model United Nations and serving as the Curriculum Committee Chair of ASK (After School Kids), a tutoring and mentoring program run by the Center for Social Justice. As a Pelosi Scholar, she hopes to develop valuable professional skills and build meaningful relationships with mentors and peers dedicated to public service.
