Percy Charlot
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Percy Charlot is a Master of Science in Foreign Service candidate concentrating on Global Politics and Security and working towards a Certificate of Arab Studies. He is interested in the intersections of U.S.-Middle East policy, governance, Arab World politics, and human rights.
Percy holds B.A.s in International Studies and Arabic Studies from American University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude in 2025. In addition to French, he speaks Modern Standard and Levantine Arabic. Percy studied abroad in Amman, Jordan in 2024 and has interned at the Department of State, Churches for Middle East Peace, and the office of Congressman Brad Schneider. In Spring 2025, as part of the State Department Diplomacy Lab program, he and a group of his peers at American University presented their capstone report on Qualifying Industrial Zones to the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs.
Percy hopes to continue building his expertise on U.S.-Middle East policy through engaging with a wide range of issue areas.
