Oskar Jansson
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Oskar Jannson is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, concentrating in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) and the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from Uppsala University, Sweden, with portions of his studies conducted at Sciences Po Paris, France, and the University of Otago, New Zealand. Before joining MSFS, Oskar served as a desk officer at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and he has experience in security risk management and art auctioning from the private sector. He is fluent in Swedish and English and pursues studies in French at Georgetown.
At Georgetown, Oskar focuses on the intersection of emerging technologies, primarily artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with politics and international relations, examining both government and private sector perspectives. He currently works as a research assistant at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology, where he tracks developments in AI governance in the United States and globally.
