Noora Samadi

M.S. in Foreign Service Student

Noora Samadi is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, concentrating in Global Politics and Security. She graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs, and a concentration in the Middle East.

Noora’s academic interests lie at the intersection of diplomacy, international security, and human rights. Her undergraduate honors thesis examined how the effects of the Iranian Revolution continue to shape U.S.-Iran relations and foreign policies. At Georgetown, she seeks to further develop a nuanced and comprehensive understanding of contemporary Iran.

Noora has gained professional experience at the White House in the Office of Management and Budget and at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Office of the Secretary. Her work on the Refugee Resettlement and Head Start programs deepened her dedication to policymaking and public service, reinforcing her commitment to pursue a career in international relations. She currently serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Persian Studies department at Georgetown.

Additionally, Noora is a Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society inductee, a Georgetown University Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Program Fellow, and a George Washington University Presidential Academic Scholar.
