Nhu Phung

Nhu Phung is a second-year master’s student in the Security Studies Program, concentrating in Technology and Security. She is interested in the intersection of cybersecurity and intelligence, particularly in Latin America. Nhu has experience across both the public and private sectors, having previously worked at a non-profit organization and most recently at the Department of Justice. 

Raised in California, Nhu attended the University of California, Davis, where she earned two Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Spanish. During her time at UC Davis, she served as Vice President of the Spanish Club, collaborating with graduate students and native Spanish speakers to reestablish Spanish tutoring services for intermediate students. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, reading, and going to the beach with her friends and family.
