Montserrat Zeron
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Montserrat Zeron is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, concentrating in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) with a certificate in Space Studies. She holds a B.S. in International Affairs from Florida State University.
Montse’s academic focus lies at the intersection of space and international affairs. Her undergraduate honors thesis examined international cooperation through the lens of the James Webb Space Telescope, analyzing the partnership between NASA, ESA, and CSA. At Georgetown, she continues to explore how diplomatic mechanisms can advance multinational space initiatives and bridge scientific research with policymaking.
Professionally, Montse brings over two years of experience in strategic communications from her work with the FSU and SFS media teams and her leadership at TEDxFSU. In these capacities, she curated diverse narratives and managed complex event logistics, honing the cross-cultural skills she plans to apply to the world of space diplomacy. Currently, she serves on the council of the Georgetown Graduate Space Initiative, where she works to bring space policy discussions to the campus community.
A native of Mexico City, Montse is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, with basic proficiency in Russian. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career advancing international cooperation in space exploration.
