Mariam Yousef
Global Human Development Student
Mariam Yousef is from Jordan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Advertising from Boston University. Her early interest in storytelling and the power of media led her to explore how strategic communication can contribute to social impact.
While interning with UNICEF Jordan, she supported digital outreach and field communications for campaigns that amplified the voices of vulnerable children in both refugee camps and host communities. This experience deepened her commitment to development work, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment and community-driven solutions.
She has since gained cross-regional experience in both the private and public sectors, including roles in strategic communication, market research, and public relations across the Middle East and Latin America. She is also fluent in Arabic and Spanish. Through the Global Human Development program, Mariam aims to contribute to impactful and inclusive development efforts.
