Maeve Wong

M.S. in Foreign Service Student

Maeve Wong was born in San Diego, California to first-generation Chinese immigrants, but spent most of her life living in Shanghai, China. Growing up in an international school with over 60 nationalities represented sparked her interest in intercultural communication and international relations. She enrolled at the American University in Washington, D.C., before transferring and graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California. Before entering MSFS, she interned at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and spent her most recent summer break on the State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship in Okayama, Japan. In her free time, she can be spotted playing indie video games, scavenging for good bites, and terrorizing her roommate’s cat.
