Maclane D. Speer

Maclane D. Speer is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University, pursuing a concentration in Global Politics & Security. Before coming to Georgetown, Maclane was a program manager with the Global Health Policy Center at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he worked on the pandemic preparedness and response portfolio, as well as with the CSIS Working Group on Climate and Health. Prior to working at CSIS, he worked as a research intern at the U.S. Army War College, interned with the government of Rajasthan's Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme in Jaipur, India, and conducted and coauthored a grant-funded study on life expectancy in Harrisburg, PA. Maclane holds a BA in international studies with a certificate in health studies and a minor in philosophy from Dickinson College.
