Katya Mouradian
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Catharine (Katya) Mouradian is a current Master of Science of Foreign Service student with a concentration in Geoeconomics, Business, and Finance. Her studies focus on economic security and statecraft, and the development of state-led economic coercion. Before her time at Georgetown she was a program manager and research associate with the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). At CSIS her research areas included economic security strategy, tariffs, multilateral export control regimes, and trade in advanced technologies. Before joining CSIS, she studied abroad in Brussels and concurrently interned at an economic intelligence and global consulting firm. Her work in Brussels focused on the European Union and technology ecosystem in the transatlantic context, including the geopolitics of semiconductor supply chains. She holds a BA in international studies and a minor in history from American University.
