Katerina Geisler

Katerina Geisler joins the Global Human Development program with a background in international relations and operational management.

Growing up in a lower-income area of rural Colorado, she observed firsthand how public and private investment differs between regions, sparking her interest in expanding resource access for underserved communities. During her undergraduate studies at Florida International University, she gained practical experience with community-led initiatives, leading logistics for a service trip to Guyana where she worked with a local community center and all-female orphanage.

Since graduating, Katerina has focused on the operational and administrative execution required to drive international relations initiatives. She led operations for public diplomacy initiatives at the German Marshall Fund focused on connecting global foreign policy issues to rural US communities. Currently, she runs the Washington, D.C. office for an organization dedicated to ensuring fair policy and market access for American businesses abroad.

Through Georgetown’s GHD program, Katerina plans to specialize in program development and evaluation to leverage her operational expertise towards managing impactful international development programs.
